  • What is gold filled?

    Gold-filled is a metal used in jewelry. It is manufactured by applying a thick layer of gold to a metal base (brass, copper, etc.) by pressure or thermally. This technique makes it possible to produce more durable jewelry than gold plated jewelry, because the gold layer is 1/20em thicker than the weight of gold and mechanically bonded to the base metal surface. It is therefore an ideal option compared to solid gold.
